CommuniTree Tree Planting

Spruce Hill Estates HOA has been granted fifty (50) evergreen  trees by the Carla Hardy WV CommuniTree Project and Cacapon Institute to enhancing and promoting awareness of watershed and riparian area needs such as storm water management, water quality issues, buffer zone planting, and soil erosion.

Our goal is to reduce to ultimately reduce our landscaping costs,  add to the canopy of Jefferson County and contribute to the beautification of our neighborhood, and the improvement neighboring community and the highway traffic views as well.

Thirty-eight volunteers from our community and from Washington High School National Honor Society.  It turned out to be a wonderful day.  We were all very fortunate that Regina Kerigan, Owner of Billies’ Cafe, brought out soup and sandwiches for all the volunteers to enjoy.
